Chris Wood’s Handmade Life November 25, 2009

Chris Wood is a national treasure. Current holder of the BBC Folk Award for Singer of the year and Album of the year, Chris is also a member of the acclaimed Imagined Village project with Billy Bragg and others. Now CMN have identified him as a major commentator on contemporary English life, and their support has enabled him to form an incredible band for this tour including fellow Imagined Villagers’ Andy Gangadeen and Barney Morse Brown on drums and cello plus Robert Jarvis on trombone. With this line up the unique instrumentation matches Wood’s voice perfectly while the content of the new songs retains the vision of this uncompromising, but gentle writer and performer.
