Arguably the pioneer of the genre known as Country Rock, Chris Hillman has carved a permanent niche in the history of contemporary American music through his work with such notable bands as The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers and the Desert Rose Band. The only authentic Cowboy to ever be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hillman's adept musicianship can be heard on such legendary recordings as “Eight Miles High,” and “Mr. Tambourine Man," a combination of Dylan songs and the Byrds' own compositions that made Rock and Roll History as America’s answer to the Beatles.
