A mystery that leaves clues throughout Europe during World War II and a novel about time travel will be featured in the Tigard Library book groups in April. The Library welcomes readers to join in the discussion at either of the book groups.

The morning book group will discuss Rennie Airth’s The Dead of Winter on Tuesday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m. As World War II rages, an ex-Scotland Yard inspector follows clues throughout Europe to track down the killer of his employee. The twists and turns lead to the discovery of the connection between the deceased Polish girl, a murdered Parisian furrier, a member of the Resistance and stolen diamonds.

The evening book group will take readers on a trip to the past with The Little Book by Selden Edwards on Wednesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. The exiled son of a prominent Boston family is living in 1988 San Francisco until he is mysteriously transported to 1897 Vienna, where he meets Sigmund Freud and other notables of the time.

The groups meet in the Grace Tigard Houghton Room on the second floor of the Library. For more information, please call the Library at 503-684-6537 and request the Adult Reference Desk, or visit the Library’s web page at: http://www.tigard-or.gov/library/
