Paint! Splatter! Sculpt! Create! during the seventh-annual Children’s Art Festival at the STAR ECO Station on Sunday, March 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Check out awesome artwork from hundreds of school-aged local artists, and celebrate the diverse talents and creative power of children. Then roll up your sleeves to make your own masterpiece. Our interactive “Creation Stations” with hands-on art projects are sure to inspire the Picasso in every child. Make a mess…and let us clean it up!

Also available are naturalist-guided tours of the STAR ECO Station – an Environmental Science Museum and Exotic Wildlife Rescue Facility – where you can meet real animals and learn how you can do our part to save the planet. Admission is $6 for children (16 and under), $7 for seniors (65 and over) and $8 for adults.

The Children’s Art Festival is sponsored by STAR Education and local businesses. STAR (Science, Theatre, Art, Recreation) is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to improving the quality of children’s education since 1986 through enrichment programs in over 40 California school districts. The STAR Art program provides a diverse art curricula including life drawing, multimedia design, photography and sculpture, as well as classes in crochet, embroidery, jewelry making, exotic mask design and more.

By exploring many media, students develop their creative talents and discover their chosen form of expression. The Children’s Art Festival provides an incredible opportunity for kids to exhibit their work, developing confidence and professionalism within these students of the STAR Art program.
