Child Rights and You presents Indian Ocean Concert August 16, 2008

Indian Ocean has acquired cult status in India over the last fifteen years with their groundbreaking music.

Their repertoire spans a number of genres from rocking political anthems to meditative spiritual ballads. The band has shown its ability to compose songs that celebrate individual journeys to transform the self, and those that articulate collective struggles to change the world, with equal felicity.

Indian Ocean's label-defying music is a confluence of myriad musical influences and can perhaps be best described as "Indian folk-rock-jazz".

This concert is organized by CRY, Child Rights and You. CRY is a non-profit organization working for the rights of underprivileged children.
