Chicago's Best Oktoberfest Oct 8th @ The Historic DANK-HAUS October 8, 2005

DANK-Chicago and the Niedersachsen Club of Chicago will host the 2nd annual DANK-Niedersachsen Oktoberfest on October 8th at 6pm at the Historic DANK-HAUS 4740 N. Western Avenue. This is the Event everyone has been waiting for - Chicago?s best Oktoberfest. We have an even bigger and better fest than last year. This event will feature 2 floors of entertainment; in the main ballroom the traditional Oktoberfest sounds of Paloma playing all your favorites and on the 6th floor the insane Polka craziness of the Polkaholics. Great food and authentic Oktoberfest beers by Spaten. I know everyone in each of the organizations is very excited to be able to do this together and continue the friendship and camaraderie between our two organizations. October 14th at 7pm - Murder in Lincoln Square Mystery Party - FUNDRAISER Sponsored by the Lincoln Sqaure Foundation. If you dare join the Lincoln Square Foundation for a devilishly good murder mystery cocktail party. Proceeds go to maintain the Abraham Lincoln Statue at Lawrence & Western Avenue. October 28th at 7pm ? Our monthly Stammtisch and Open Haus ? Free Admission - come join the party - Entertainment TBD

November 18th at 7pm ? Our monthly Stammtisch and Open Haus ? Free Admission come join the party - Featuring Live Music by the Lustigen Musikanten

November 23rd at 7pm ? Wednesday before Thanksgiving we are having an informal party in the Skyline Lounge to celebrate the holiday and everything we have to be thankful for. Free Admission.

December 8th at 7pm - Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party. This is the annual party and fundraiser for the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce represents the business
community in Lincoln Square and is instrumental in keeping the area vibrant and the quality of life high in our great neighborhood. For more information call 773-728-3890.

Our Stammtisch (Friends Table) events offer an oportunity to discover more about DANK-Chicago and the DANK organization. They are held in the breathtaking Skyline Lounge on the top of the DANK-HAUS with unobstructed views of the Chicago skyline. Typically live music or other cultural activity is offered and people can meet and mingle to
discover the cultural offerings as well as the friendly community of people that make up the DANK-HAUS.

I sincerely hope that you and the members ofyour organization will be able to attend these events and support DANK and it?s friends. At DANK we know that cooperation is the key to success and we are extremely proud to work with partners like the Niedersachsen Club of Chicago and the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce to continue to contribute to German-American culture in Chicago.

DANK is a 501c3 Non-Profit cultural organization. All money raised at these events goes to help preserve and grow German-American culture in Chicago. DANK operates a library, language school, mueseum, newspaper, German intern and scholorship programs as well as a variety of social,cultural anc community forcused activities. DANK-Chicago operates out of the 1927 Historic DANK-HAUS designed by prominent German-American architect Paul Gerhard which serves the Lincoln Square and greater Chicago area.
