Team Twangled Freestyle Jet Skier Mike Hoffman was injured while preparing for the 2008 Air & Water Show. He suffered a severe laceration of the right index finger and will not be able to compete in the Big Air Competition. Hoffman was anticipated to give defending Champion Gary Burtka a challenge to his title this year. Hoffman is expected to make a full recovery. He will also assume a color commentator position during the show on the PA system Saturday and Sunday.
