I had such a blast last year! We went every day. My friends and I were not only able to see new games and toys but we were able to play them and sample them before we chose which ones to buy. Some hard choices there! So many great games I'd never seen before from smaller companies but Hasbro was there, too.

There were some really fun costumed characters walking all around so we got to hang out with Star Wars, Bennie the Bull, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and some I didn't recognize. We are all kids at heart so I was really excited to see some of them and have my picture taken with them.

Everyone was very friendly and instructive. I'd love to see more people from little kids to adults playing their favorite types of games because those who were selling them were really cool about letting us play and giving us instruction. I loved that lots of the people selling the games invented them or knew the inventors.

I love games and always have so this was like a paradise for me so count me in!

I have attended CHITAG for the last 3 years. It has become a tradition for me and my kids. I am always impressed by the unique games that are shown here. You would never see many of these games by shopping the normal retailers. There's no other place that I know of where you can play the game BEFORE you buy it.

It's a great place to shop for Christmas presents for the "hard-to-buy-for" kids (and adults) on your list. There's literally something for everyone. My favorite item at last year's show was a set of architectural building blocks. One set makes a cathedral and one a medieval castle. They are appropriate for kids from 5-6 years old up to adults. They could even be used as a corporate gift.

It's a great family day out if you are looking to have fun together.

I've attended Chi-Tag for the last three years. This show is great for all ages! I'm 35 and a bunch of my friends and I go together to pick out some new games we've never seen before, and sit and play with them at the open play tables. You don't even need to buy them first. That's the great thing about Chi-Tag. You can test the games with your friends before buying anything. It's also a great way to meet people because sometimes you need more players for a game so you can invite people to sit and play with you. It turns out that learning how to play a new board game is a great way to get to know someone. Can't wait until Chi-Tag 2007!

I have attended, and thoroughly enjoyed, the CHI-TAG fair for the past three years. While many of the games are geared to the younger set, I was able to find some terrific ones for my college-age daughter, including "Apple 2 Apple," which became a favorite at her dorm. The vendors are enthusiastic and pleased just to let you have fun with their products. In this TV/computer era, the fair is a great reminder of the pleasure in playing together. And there is a positive, festive air in the room that you don't experience much these days.

I have been going to CHITAG for the past few years and I highly recommend it as an event for families, retailers and anyone interested in having more fun in life! There is a lot to do... lots of games to sample and it is really awesome to meet the inventors and have them share their enthusiasm about their games with you. I own a bookstore and started selling educational games after visiting CHITAG the first year because I wanted to make the wonderful games I saw there available to my customers.

I have attended the Chicago International Toy and Game Fair for the past 3 years. The vendors are very excited about their games. They encourage and allow onlookers to experiment and play with their toys and games. There are many interactive events, such as game-show type forums where vendors have children and adults participate to win prizes. My two children love participating on a stage, pushing buttons at a podium., and giving answers just as real contestants do on real game shows. This coming fair in November will even have a Geography Bee, where the first 100 interested participants to sigh up will play for a hefty cash prize. My children and I also show great enthusiasm as we play games throughout the room. As a teacher, I look for games that I can use with my students, that will strengthen critical and strategic thinking. and I find so many that it is hard to choose only a few. I always leave there thinking that those who still haven't heard of this toy and game fair are missing an opportunity to interact with their friends and family in an atmosphere of festivity and fun.
