Charity Happy Hour at Modern! January 17, 2008

Come January, I always seem to get a serious case of cabin fever... and find myself just itching to get out... anyone else? Sooo I've planned the January happy hour to help!

Plus, we'll be benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation... http://www.bcrfcure.o... ... so spread the word, mix and mingle with new and familiar faces, have some fun, and help support a good cause!... suggested $5 donation ($10 preferred). Also, the following groups will be co-hosting so far!

. Capital Beltway Walking
. Network of Educated Single Professionals

Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 250 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.

For those that haven't been there before, Modern has, well, a modern look and feel to it, with low couches, a deep sunken bar surrounded by ottomans, and shimmering white curtains. See www.modern-dc.com

To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this...

... a lot of you seemed to like the icebreaker we've been using lately, so we'll be doing it again! We'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar.

Nearest Metro (recommended) is Rosslyn (Orange or Blue line) where you will need to cross Key bridge (I've walked it in 15 minutes), then make a right onto M Street.
