Libby Larsen weaves lute songs throughout her song cycle on last words of Henry VIII’s wives, Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy for violin & piano recaptures the thrill of Bizet’s opera, and even Brahms’ beloved Piano Quintet existed in two forms before the enduring work we know today.
