In the wake of his critically acclaimed debut record “Used to Dream,” Chad Perrone is literally back with “Wake,” his follow up record that will be released on May 27th. To celebrate the new CD, Perrone will return to the stage at the Paradise Rock Club on Friday, June 20th for an 8pm show. Tickets can be purchased at www.tickmaster.com or by calling 617-931-2000.
Perrone describes his new release as “coming from an honest place” and “is the most complete and telling piece of work” that he’s ever put together. The former lead singer for “Averi” takes listeners on a genuine journey through his life experiences. From band breakups to personal relationships, Perrone has never been afraid to share. The title “Wake” comes from the idea that we all leave a wake behind, be it positive or negative. The ripple effect from this pop-based artist is a record that is instantly memorable and meaningful.
Perrone produced his new release at 6 Media AV in Haverill with the help of best friends Dennis Carroll (co-Producer and piano player) and Steve Belleville (co-Producer, bass and back-up vocals.) Carroll also co-produced Boston band Cahill’s new release “At The Seems.” Each of the 14 songs on “Wake” has a back story. Former Red Sox player Bronson Arroyo pitches in with vocals on “Since You”, and Perrone’s family and friends become a Gospel Choir for “Awake in the Morning.” The result is an intimate experience, not just a record.
Chad Perrone’s debut “Used to Dream” won three 2006 Boston Music Award Nominations including “Outstanding Male Singer/Songwriter” and a “Best Unsigned Band/Artist of 2006” nomination for AlternativeAddiction.com. Crowds have flocked to his shows in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West to see an artist who is unabashedly candid about setting his life to music.
“I’ve never meant it as much as I do now, and I’ve never been as proud of anything I worked on as I am right now.”
Chad Perrone’s hard work shows as the album could easily be one of the best independent releases of the year. Chad Perrone will perform songs from “Wake” on Friday, June 20th at the Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston. Tim Blane and Cahill will join Perrone on the bill. Doors open at 8 p.m. This is an 18+ show. Tickets can be purchased at www.tickmaster.com or by calling 617-931-2000.

“Wake” will be available on cdbaby, itunes, cdfreedom.com, through Newbury Comics stories
