A great opportunity to train with two experienced Scrum coaches and trainers for the price of one – Bob Sarni and Tom Mellor!
Course Overview:
Being a member of a Scrum team can be a daunting prospect. Being asked to serve as the team’s ScrumMaster can be downright intimidating. You’ve got an idea of what Scrum is, and have read a few articles or books on the topic or have even been a ScrumMaster or member of a Scrum team, but you really don’t know how to start putting that theory into action or feel that your team or organization can do a better job of applying Scrum.
That’s where the Certified ScrumMaster program comes in. As the only ScrumMaster certification endorsed by the Scrum Alliance, you can trust that Ripplerock’s Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs) will teach you what you need to know to fill the role of ScrumMaster (or Scrum team member). This course focuses on the basics of the Scrum framework, including team roles, activities, and artifacts, so that you can begin your journey as an effective ScrumMaster or member of a Scrum team.
This highly interactive two-day course not only provides the fundamental principles of Scrum, it also gives participants hands-on experience through a variety of interactive exercises. Two very experienced coaches and trainers will facilitate this course. Bob Sarni, is an experienced Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) and Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) with Ripplerock who has many years of experience working with Scrum teams and whole organizations on the application and adoption of Scrum and also has deep experience in program and project management. Please see Bob's profile - Bob Sarni. Tom Mellor is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Scrum Alliance. He is also the embedded Scrum Trainer at State Farm Insurance Companies where he teaches Certified ScrumMaster courses internally to employees. He also occasionally teaches CSM courses outside of State Farm. Tom enjoys working with the broader Scrum community and working in the governance of the Scrum Alliance. Please see Tom’s profile - Tom Mellor.
Successful completion of a two-day ScrumMaster Certification course, taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer, is a pre-requisite for taking the Certified ScrumMaster evaluation and also advancement to other Scrum certifications. Upon completion of the course, attendees are eligible to take the evaluation, the successful completion of which results in the designation of “Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)” from the Scrum Alliance. Please see frequently asked questions about the evaluation – Scrum Evaluation Questions
* Attendees of this training are eligible to earn 14 PDUs toward PMI certification.
