Central Station - Film Screening March 3, 2010

Central Station - an Academy Award Nominated film in Portuguese (with English subtitles) will be shown in the Library Meeting Room. This program is sponsored by the Library and Census 2010. The program is free. Kids activities will be available during the film show. Refreshments will be served after the movie.

Central Station is the story of Dora, a school teacher, who makes money by writing letters for people at Rio de Janeiro's Central Station. Josue is a 9-year-old boy, whose mother sends letters through Dora to Josue's father. When the mother dies in a car accident, Dora takes Josue on takes a journey through remote areas of Brazil to find his father.
