John Hannah stars as Detective Inspector Rebus in this gritty adaptation of the best-selling novel by Ian Rankin. D.I. Rebus confronts the underworld and his own personal demons while scouring the streets of Edinburgh investigating a series of deadly crimes with an American connection.

The Library presents the Celtic Film Series in cooperation with the local chapters of the St. Andrew Society and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. The series explores the history, drama and quirky humor of films made in or about Scotland and Ireland.
