Bob Kaufman was a scion of the beat generation and dedicated his entire being to expressing himself through poetry. In France he was known as " Rimbaud Noir" ( The Black Rimbaud ). His stomping ground was North Beach (naturally), April is National Poetry Month and it also happens to be that his birthday falls on April, so giving the man his propers is in order....

This celebration in poetry and jazz music will be closing with a performance by The Broun Fellinis along with support from The Slippery Slope. Joining will be the community of poets and spoken word artists TBA.
