Celebrate Toronto Street Festival

The eighth annual Celebrate Toronto Street Festival is scheduled for July 7, 8 & 9, 2006
and promises to be the most exciting celebration to date!

Every summer the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival transforms a series of key intersections along the city's famous Yonge Street into a series of amazing festival sites to entertain more than 1 million festivalgoers.

For 2006 Canada's award-winning* street festival kicks off the celebrations on the evening of July 7th, then takes the party to Yonge Street for the weekend of July 8 & 9. The world's longest street gives right of way to a FREE curb to curb celebration of tastes, talent and all that is Toronto!

In all, the festival offers fantastic free entertainment, with something for all ages and tastes. Live music fills the streetscape from multiple stages featuring roots, jazz, world, pop and children's artists. Jugglers, stilt-walkers and buskers animate the street corners, spectacular street theatre stops pedestrians in their tracks and local businesses offer sidewalk sales and activities.

With the addition of Summerlicious, this sizzling summer celebration stimulates the senses with hot entertainment to see, cool music to hear and delicious food to savour! Visit this site again for a full entertainment schedule.
