Celebrate the ARTS! Alliance Awards 2005 October 15, 2005

As part of their national mandate, the Hawai'i Alliance for Arts Education gives public recognition to arts and education at The Alliance Awards, an annual celebration in the historic Hawaii Theatre.

The Hawai'i Alliance for Arts Education knows that where students learn through the arts (visual, music, dance, drama), it increases their success in all academic areas and greatly enhances their quality of life. The annual Arts Excellence Awards recognize those schools where such education is taking place. Three public and three independent schools are selected from statewide applications and in support of this award, the State Foundation on Culture and Arts (SFCA) provides $3,000 to each of the three public schools receiving the award.
