Celebrate Brooklyn Official After Party July 27, 2012

Freddy's will be host to the After Party for The Head and the Heart Show, to be held at the Prospect Park Bandshell as part of 'Celebrate Brooklyn.' While bands will play in the bar's backroom starting at 8:00pm, the After Party will grace the front-room starting at 10:30pm, centered on Freddy's own 1920 piano. All shows are free. In the front of the house, hear Prohibition era sweat-house blues at 10:30pm. The trio Ida Blue will host a night of old blues and timely standards from the 1920s and '30s, sung by Mara Kaye. In the back room, hear Les Sans Culotte, (e)motion picture, Tyranny of Dave, Giant Flying Turtles and more.
