An unforgettable evening of sound and spirit...

Join co-sponsors, The Green Music Network and BayKeeper, for the 8th annual epic journeys of sound in the Hawk Hill Cave overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.

Few musical folk styles have caught the western public imagination in the last decade so much as the amazing throat singing of Tuva. This group of musicians from Tuva, a small Russian province north of Western Mongolia, will fill the cave walls with the resonating low sounds of "throat singing," which creates a middle note and a haunting flute-like harmonic. Atmospheric and mesmerizing, "throat singing" is almost too difficult to describe in words. They will be joined by the Bay Area's own internationally acclaimed Stephen Kent on the didjeridu who brings his unique sound and sense of rhythm to the interplay.

Join us for these melodic meditations of new sound and witness the cave itself become a part of the sonic journey. Cave opens at 8:30pm. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Arrive early for enough time to park, walk and experience the beauty of the surroundings before concert begins. Hawk Hill Tunnel is off Conzelman Road in the Marin Headlands.
