On Sunday, February 27, children and their families will become honorary members when Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute presents the acclaimed chorus conducted by its artistic director and founder Francisco J. Núñez in Carnegie’s first-ever “Family Sing” at Zankel Hall at 1 p.m. The event includes lots of audience participation, such as call and response in Tshotsholoza, a traditional Zulu folk song; and singing and dancing in the up-tempo Spanish song Oye.
