Carlinhos Brown + Mr Catra June 24, 2008

Direct from Rio comes the Latin Grammy Award-winning percussionist, singer and producer extraordinaire.

A prolific and eclectic performer, Carlinhos Brown performed with Caetano Veloso during the 80s, and artists from Marisa Monte to heavy metal band Sepultra have recorded his compositions.

Afro-Brazilian beats, rock, funk, electronica, strings and reggae all unite to evoke the true spirit of Salvador Bahia.

Opening the show is star of high-energy favela funk carioca, Mr Catra, in his first UK appearance.
