Providence Hospice of Seattle in June and July will begin a series of workshops aimed at helping caregivers who are caring for someone who is at the end of his or her life. The "Caregiving at Life's End" caregiver training and support workshops are free workshops that provide informal and family caregivers with tools to care for themselves and enhance their care of others. Clinicians representing a variety of healthcare disciplines will offer their expertise in equipping caregivers for the demands that they face.

The workshops will help caregivers:
* Cope with change and changing roles
* Say what is important to friends and family
* Talk about important decisions and plan for the future
* Communicate with healthcare professionals
* Deal with legal/life affairs
* Identify community resources
* Explore spiritual and religious concerns
* Empower positive self-care

Workshops will begin in June. Participants are encouraged to attend, even if they cannot participate in all of the workshops.

The workshops will be held at the Greater Maple Valley Community Center, 22010 SE 248th St., Maple Valley, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays June 11, 18, 25 and July 2
