Capoeira Gerais 2nd Batizado - Workshop and Open Roda November 14, 2008

Capoeira Gerais cordially invites you to its 2nd Batizado. A batizado is an annual event where the students of a capoeira group move up in rank, and often when they receive their names. They receive new cords, which are the markers of rank in capoeira. This event is a multi-day affair with instructors and masters from Brazil, Europe, and all over the US coming to give workshops and play capoeira with the students. It's an exciting time!

This part of the event is a workshop by Contra Mestre Joao de Deus and an open roda following the workshop.
