Canoeing The Russian River with TransportedSF September 27, 2009

Hop on the TransportedSF biodiesel bus as we head North for a fun-filled day of paddling down the Russian River. Your ticket with Transported includes round-trip transportation from San Francisco and a seat in a 2 person canoe, lifejacket, paddle, etc.

We will drive you to the put-in point, and pick you up at the take-out point. All you need to do is drift lazily down the river enjoying your self! Late September is a great time to go down the Russian River: the summer crowds have abated, the fall colors will be booming, and the river will be still be flowing nicely.

Bring everything you need to be happy for a day on the river as we will not be stopping for food/drink on our drive up. A partial list of things you may want includes: drinks (bring plenty of water), snacks, sandwiches, suntan lotion, hat, coolers, water toys, tie downs for your stuff, tennis shoes or sandals you don't mind getting wet (flip-flops are not recommended).

IMPORTANT!!
Everyone must have basic swimming skills.
Please, no one who is visibly pregnant.
Please, no elderly who are not able to self-rescue.

Think in terms of packing with everything attached to you or your boat.

Please Dont Forget to Bring:
Bring tie downs for your ice chest and gear! Bungie, rope, straps.
Wear light clothing, a warm shirt, and dry clothes for after.
Wear tennis shoes or sandals. Flip Flops not recommended.
Bring hat, sunglass with strap, and sunscreen.
Plenty of water and some food - Tupperware & Ziplocks for lunches.

Please Dont Bring:
Jewelry, electronics, or valuables
Clear your dog with us first
Children under five
Glass or Styrofoam
Bad or rude behavior
Firearms or weapons
