Candleford, a touring play by Headley Theatre Group based on the book Lark Rise to Candleford by Flora Thompson.

All the favourite characters from the popular TV series will be seen – Laura Timms starting work at Candleford Post Office, Dorcas the postmistress, Zillah the maid, Minnie the telegram carrier with a permanent cold, Sir Timothy, Thomas Brown the postman and religious zealot, and a host of other characters representing the ordinary rural folk of an Oxfordshire small town at the turn of the last century.

The performance is in promenade, which means that audiences can get close to the actors and even sit at the table with them! There’s music and dancing, folk songs and plenty of laughter.
