[THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED]

[Details taken from here]

The last time we saw them, they played one of our favorite shows ever at the Mercury Lounge. And Wallace Shawn was there to see an earlier band. And in the middle of the first tune from Town and Country, he and his friends got up and left.

Wallace. You were wrong to leave. You would have enjoyed them. And I think I am the only one who doesn't like The Princess Bride.

Their most recent record, Up Above (Thrill Jockey), shows them stretching their sound with new approaches to harmonic layering. They were inspired in these sessions by Japanese Gagaku court music, John Cale and Syntonic Research's Environments LP's

We can't wait to hear them in our space. They will play along to one of my favorite films. It was shot in Indonesia and relates to the Gamelan influences you can also hear in their music.

admission: $10
showtimes: 7:30pm & 10pm

reservations are highly recommended
