CANCELLED: Belle & Sebastian Graphic Novel & CD Launch Party February 8, 2006

Hi there folks,

Unfortunately the Belle & Sebastian Anthology Graphic Novel PUT THE BOOK BACK ON THE SHELF has been delayed until the end of February, which makes our February 8th event impossible. We will try to reschedule but for now, anyway, the event is off. Our sincere thanks to everyone who expressed interest in attending and to the folks who spread the word. As soon as we're back on, we'll let you know.

Meanwhile, we've posted the details (and the awesome tour poster) for the Sammy Harkham, Kevin Huizenga, Anders Nilsen event at http://www.torontocomics.com. The event is February 22nd, and it's going to be absolutely amazing, plan to be there!

Come join us in celebrating the release of Scottish sweater-pop band Belle & Sebastian?s newest album, The Life Pursuit, and the release of a new graphic novel adapting their songs, Put The Book Back On The Shelf! The new album is quite good (I?m listening to it now), and will provide the background music for the evening. If you like what you hear, it will be on sale at the event courtesy of Soundscapes Records.

The graphic novel is an anthology of adaptations and interpretations of Belle & Sebastian?s music by numerous comics creators. Of note are Canadians Kalman Andrasofszky, Christopher Butcher, and Ramon Perez, who are featured in the book and will be on hand to sign your copy!

Come have a beer or a cocktail, listen to some good music and support local cartoonists (and Beguiling employees). See you there!
