for 2012 CUSLI Annual Conference

The Canada-U.S. Law Institute presents the Henry T. King, Jr. Annual Conference on U.S.-Canada Relations on Thursday and Friday, March 22-23, 2012 at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2011, Prime Minister Harper and President Obama initiated historic steps toward integrating the Canada-U.S. border, thus bringing our nations closer than ever. The conference, "The New Perimeter Initiative: Will Security Trump Trade?", will analyze the recently released Beyond the Border Action Plan, what it means for trade, jobs, security, and the future of our nations. Speakers include Canadian Amb. to the U.S. Gary Doer; John Negroponte, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and U.S. Director of National Intelligence; Hon. Ann McLellan, PC, OC, former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Minister of Public Safety; U.S. Amb. to Canada David Jacobson; Rear Admiral Michael Parks, U.S. Coast Guard Ninth District Commander, and more. Online registration is now open. For information about sponsorship, please contact David Kocan at [email protected]. The conference will also be webcast live, and available for viewing on demand afterward.
