Calvery ConcertConnects Mother's Day Concert May 13, 2012

The Alumnae Chorus of the San Francisco Girls Chorus is thrilled to present a Mother's Day concert on May 13 at 4pm, under the direction of Interim Music Director, Brandon Brack. The concert, to be held in the sanctuary of Calvary Presbyterian Church, includes repertoire by Vivaldi, Vaughan Williams, Duruflé and Gershwin, and celebrates the powerful influence that mothers and mother-like figures play in our lives. Please join us for what promises to be an afternoon of beautiful music. A celebratory reception follows the concert.
Proceeds will benefit San Francisco Girls Chorus and Larkin Street Youth Services

Now in its fifth season, the Alumnae Chorus provides Bay Area audiences with
concerts of the highest caliber of women’s choral music. The ensemble
comprises graduates of the world renowned San Francisco Girls Chorus and

“ConcertConnect”, a program of Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco, is an innovative music series benefiting Bay Area charities since 2007. ConcertConnect (ConCon) offers the opportunity for acclaimed professional musicians throughout San Francisco a chance to perform — fully sponsored—in a hall with splendid acoustics and a built-in audience. The profits from these intimate and special concerts are split between the performing group and one of Calvary Presbyterian Church’s Serving Partner non-profits.

Larkin Street Youth Services provides homeless, runaway and at-risk kids between the ages of 12 and 24 with the help they need to rebuild their lives. The mission of Larkin Street Youth Services is to create a continuum of services that inspires youth to move beyond the street. We will nurture potential, promote dignity, and support bold steps by all.
