Calgary Rally for Canadian Government to Serve Canadians September 1, 2008

Prime Minister Harper appears set to break our government and call upon the Governor General to dissolve Parliament, forcing the country to an early election.

We elected our representatives to form government and serve the people of Canada. If Harper and his Conservatives are unwilling to fulfill the responsibility they agreed to, then we can call upon the other Members of Parliament to work with each other to form the government (there is precedent for this in Canada).

This rally, and hopefully others across the country, will be calling on the Governor General to reject the Conservative’s push to dissolve Parliament, and for the other Members of Parliament to work together to fulfill their responsibility to all Canadians.
