The well-loved basement bar at Café Saint-Ex is cranking up the soul for its new series of monthly soul food and DJ music nights, "Pass the Peas." Named after the popular hit song from James Brown's band, The JB's, "Pass the Peas" is a special night of old-school soul food dishes paired with live DJ tunes from Soul Call Paul and DJ Baby Alcatraz, hosted in Saint-Ex's Gate 54 lounge. Taking place on the second Wednesday of every month, Saint-Ex's "Pass the Peas" series will kick off with an inaugural launch party on Wednesday, October 10 at 6 p.m.
Always a place to enjoy an eclectic lineup of DJs in a vibrant atmosphere, Gate 54 at Café Saint-Ex is getting soulful with a special southern menu courtesy of Executive Chef Billy Klein. Guests can expect to find dishes like Country Fried Steak with country gravy, Pork Chops with candied yams, Cornmeal-crusted Catfish and fresh Cornbread served in a cast iron skillet.

Café Saint-Ex's "Pass the Peas" soul food nights will take place on the second Wednesday of every month through February from 6 p.m. to close. Future dates are below:
