OK, all you sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads and righteous dudes... Here's the scoop with the poop you've been eagerly awaiting on our 18th annual Bored Urban Transient Tour!!

When? Sept. 5, 6 & 7, 2008
Why? Cuz no one else wanted to? I dunno? Nothing better to do? Why not?
How? Who cares! Thumb it, bum it, drive it, bike it, hike it, run it... Just make it!

Time: Someone has to be at the campground by 2:00 p.m. on Friday the 5th, and we have until MIDNIGHT on Sunday to depart (so no leaving at the crack of dawn's BUTT!).

Water: The site is ON the Current River (one of the best in the state for floating!), which means we actually have river access from the site. We can figure out floating details when we get there and do a float on Saturday. Or you can stay behind and just swim and frolic in the water. Whatever floats yer BUTT.

Attached are a couple of maps. The Google Earth map shows where our campsite is (I added some helpful markings!)... it's group site G01 and is in Area 1 of Akers, right off of Highway K. The site can hold up to 45 people (14 cars max) and the cost is $53/night for a total of $106, to be divided amongst those who show up. So if we have 10 couples, it'll be about $10 per individual or couple or family or whatever you wanna call yo'selves.

Directions:
Akers Campground is 20 miles south of Salem, Missouri. From Salem take Highway 19 south 4 miles. Turn right on KK, 16 miles to Akers Group Campground. The campground is 1/2 mile north of Akers Ferry (Junction of Highways K and KK).
