Business Leaders For Philanthropy Night -- A networking evening that's open to the public with local business leaders and alumni from some of the country's leading business schools, including Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkley, UCI, UCLA and USC.

Keynote speaker: Harald Herrmann, President and CEO of Irvine-based Yard House Restaurants. Herrmann leads one of the nation's most successful casual restaurant chains with a formula of offering the world's largest selection of draught beer with great food and a classic rock music program. Founded on the Long Beach waterfront in 1996, it emerged as one of L.A. County's most financially successful independent restaurants. This year Yard House will have 41 locations in 13 states.

The evening's theme is personal and corporate philanthropy, of which Herrmann is exemplary. Recently he was honored by the Orange County Community Foundation for co-founding "Round it Up America"(R), a platform for collective giving which simply encourages restaurant guests to "round up" meal checks, with the extra change going to local charities.

The evening includes a networking reception, hearty hors d'oeuvres, beverages and a special opportunity to experience the impact The Shea Center makes in the lives of children and adults with disabilities.

It is a casual evening in an equestrian setting, where jeans and boots are encouraged, and a jacket strongly recommended for when the sun dips below the San Juan Capistrano hills. The Presenting Sponsor is South County Lexus at Mission Viejo. Other sponsorship opportunities are available.
