Bullock Brothers and Hot Tamale Brass Band August 25, 2010

Performing gospel for nearly 60 years and receiving the “Living Legends” award from the House of Blues, the Bullock Brothers continue the tradition that began with “Singing Walter” Bullock of North Carolina, father of the six original members. Now based in Boston and performing throughout New England and their South End community, the Bullock Brothers continue to use music as a tool to inspire.

Led by Mickey Bones, the Hot Tamale Brass Band brings the colorful Dixieland jazz of New Orleans to Boston. Keeping alive the marching band tradition, the Hot Tamales continue to celebrate all aspects of life, bringing their brass to festivals, parades, jazz funerals, and concerts up and down the East Coast.
