A one-day workshop on how to develop software for the desktop and the web that is user-friendly, robust and accessible.

What will the workshop cover?

- How to gather user requirements in a meaningful way
- User interface techniques for Windows
- Interface design principles and techniques for web-based applications
- How to do user testing and evaluate the usability of your applications
- Accessibility tools and APIs (Windows)
- For web developers: what will the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2 mean for you?

These workshops are interactive sessions, where you will be participating actively, rather than just sitting and listening to a speaker. You will meet with usability and interface design specialists, as well as software development experts. Real-world examples will be used to drive the sessions and everyone is encouraged to contribute.

Specific techniques for various development languages and platforms will be demonstrated.
