Who? - This BBQ Festival & Cook-off is hosted by Ad infinitum Graphic Design and Illustration Studio ®.

What? - The Buffalo New York BBQ Blast ® is categorized as a family friendly summer barbeque festival & cook-off. This is Buffalo New York’s One-and-Only citywide BBQ Festival complete with prizes for individual competitors and businesses in different categories of BBQ. We desire international participation with local centralization. Contestants are not limited to Buffalo or this immediate region exclusively.

This is exclusively an alcohol free venue. We will provide the sale of carbonated beverages and healthy juices for the event patrons.

Where? - LaSalle Park at Buffalo’s Water Front. (Near the Peace Bridge)

When? - This event is the weekend of September 22nd -23rd 2007 at 10:00 AM-7:00PM daily. We will be the last large festival and food related event of the summer.

Why? - We are holding this event to…

1. To raise community awareness of “City Unity”. “A city is only as good as the people that make up that city”. Buffalo New York is one of the greatest cities in America to live in and we want to showcase our city to the nation and the world.
2. To raise awareness and community support for the in-school art project called the Chrysalis Project. This is a mentorship and development program with art as its primary vehicle to foster morals, ethics, and self esteem through artistic expression, teamwork and mentorship. Ad Infinitum Graphic Design & Illustration Studio supports this program.
3. To feed many and minister to the needs of those in our community who are less fortunate. A portion of food prepared by the vendors after the conclusion of the event will be gathered and distributed as meals for those who are impoverished and those who are homeless. This will be provided with the help of local ministries. We are also collecting non-perishable items/canned goods to be donated to military families.

4. Our goal is to place Buffalo New York in the Nation rankings for competitive barbequing.
This brings positive publicity, exposure for our city and region, and tourist dollars. Not to mention the exposure of our local restaurants that participates. We all win!

How? - Sponsorship, restaurant vendor participation, and community support are vital to the success of this event. All of us coming together will make this festival a success!

The Buffalo New York BBQ Blast ® is a cook-off and summer BBQ festival dedicated to a family oriented celebration for our community, city and region coming together corporately. We want to celebrate the diversity, culture and community closeness that makes our city unique and wonderful.
RESTAURANTS / PROFESSIONALS
We want to allow every restaurant the opportunity to participate in our festival as a vendor, especially those with BBQ dishes. Rental fees for the booth spaces will be completely based on a sales percentage structure.

The Buffalo New York BBQ Blast’s finance department will receive 10% of the vendor’s daily sales.
We will be exchanging U.S. currency for our “BBQ Blast Bucks” to be spent at all food vending booths. Each U.S. dollar will be exchanged at equal value to the event currency.

The Restaurants and professional vending food and meals with BBQ themed menus and items will be competing for the Overall Best in Show honors amongst their peers based on the listed categories.

*The patrons of the event will be judging the food that is purchased from all restaurant vendors. The ballot boxes will be at a monitored predetermined location to ensure a nonbiased outcome.

NON FOOD VENDORS
All non food vendors are welcome to advertise or sell their products or services at this event. There will be a charge of $50.00 for the entire weekend. Booth space’s are 20’ x 20’. Please send us a list of what you would like to sell along with payment.

PERMITS

All vendors must provide a copy of their tent permit and food-vending permit. Copies of the permits must be received by Wednesday September 19th 2007. Permits must be obtained from City Hall by vendors. Permits for propane will also be the responsibility of the vendors. Special arrangements will be made for out of town vendors or those who contact us in advance.

Vending Space: 20’ by 20’

Drawing

*At the conclusion of the festival there will be a drawing in which one vendor will be randomly drawn to receive their vending booth space (20’x20’) completely FREE of charge for the 2007 Buffalo BBQ Blast!

Grand Prize Winner
*The restaurants are competing for “BBQ Master 2007 – Best of Show Pro Division” and the winner will receive a $500.00 design budget courtesy of Ad Infinitum Graphic Design & Illustration Studio for design and/or redesign purposes of printed materials. This package also includes 1000 business cards. Examples of possible uses of this prize include full logo redesign, tee shirt illustration design, business cards, trademark character design, menu redesign, and sign graphics design.
