Brooklyn Nouveau End of Harvest Celebration November 17, 2011

What exactly is Beaujolais Nouveau? It’s a wine annually produced from the Gamay Noir grape in the Beaujolais region of France, and is made for immediate release on the third Thursday of November as a party wine to celebrate the end of harvest.

To celebrate the end of our own fall harvest, we’re throwing a Brooklyn Nouveau party on Thursday, November 17. Our winemaker Conor McCormack used 2011 Pinot Noir grapes to create a limited edition “nouveau” style wine that we’re calling Brooklyn Nouveau. We’ve only produced one keg of this wine—which we’re serving on tap—so come on in and taste it while it lasts! To round out the celebration that evening, we're also offering two actual Beaujolais wines: the Beaujolais Nouveau and a Crus Beaujolais (the highest classification of Beaujolais wines), imported by Kermit Lynch.

Swing by our wine bar on November 17 to enjoy French-influenced food specials and live music by Avalon Jazz Band alongside glasses of these seasonal wines. Or try all in a tasting flight featuring our first-ever Brooklyn Nouveau.
