The Bridgetown Big Band will play jazz that really cooks at the Tigard Public Library on Friday, May 15, from 7 to 8 p.m.  The eighteen-member band encourages audiences to swing and dance to its Big Band sounds.  Featured vocalists and instrumental soloists offer both classic jazz and contemporary tunes.

The Band’s musical repertoire consists of a wide variety of music, including hits from legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and arranger Sammy Nestico, to more recent jazz arrangements of classic tunes such as “Summertime” by George Gershwin.

This free musical performance, made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Library, will be held in the Library Community Room.  For more information, please call the Library at 503-684-6537 and request the Adult Reference Desk, or visit the Library's Web site at:  http://www.tigard-or.gov/library and click on Adult Events.
