i really really really want to attend this concert this year... i really really hope incubus comes... hoobastank!! .... ahhh..

emn139

I really hope they don't. Incubus tried to break the entire spirit of the event by being the only band to think acoustic meant having a DJ.

mrwilloby

Anyone know when the line-up is usually announced? If I recall, the time should be near.

kris247

Still no lineup announcement. I believe the official will be made on the Bridge School events page:

This will be my 12th year. The line up should be announced by the end of this month. Yeah, Incubus was a bit odd. At least not as bad as Matallica was 5 or 6 years back. Nothing against them, but they need electric guitars....

kris247

I didn't see Incubus, but they couldn't have been as bad as Sonic Youth. I heard they were booed off the stage their first year, and they weren't much better last year.

bmwmunk

My guesses at who will be announced:

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds
Green Day- Played BSB back in 1999
Mariah Carey
Kelly Clarkson - has been a big year for her too
The Killers - has been a big year for them
Jack Johnson - Played BSB back in 2002, plus his new cd is awesome
U2 - They are busy the 29th but free the 30th and their next show would be 11-1-05 in LA.

I Wish, But they are touring else where:
Coldplay - Germany/Denmark

bmwmunk

Incubus was awesome! But I have to admit I did not dig Sonic Youth that much. I have their cds but never really listen to them. A little to out there for me.

mrwilloby

I love Sonic Youth, but I didn't go last year because they were the only draw for me and it wouldn't have been worth it...

terthom

I know for sure that Bright Eyes has announced that they/he will play.

dm1

Green Day would be great. When they played last time they stole the show! They really are great entertainers and write great songs. I would be very disappointed if Kelly Clarkson plays. She is contrived and holds no allure for me. I think Shawn Mullins should be added to the bill.

terthom

Where the hell is everyone getting the idea that Kelly Clarkson is playing. I want answers! I want ANSWERES!

dm1

Kelly is a mere rumor-i hope-the Bridge has always had a "code of ethics" and does not schedule artists without substance. Sorry any Kelly fans out there:But she came to fame through a TV show and it will take time to see if she has anything great to offer. I'd love to see Allison Krauss and Union Station play at the Bridge.

Gizmo1965

The Eagles are in the Bay Area at that time and are free both days.

bmwmunk

The Eagles sound like a big possibility since this is their come back year.

For those who don't know the Bridge School Benefit is a concert that recaps the greatest shows of the bay area for the past year, so who ever shows up is who ever Neil gets and who did the best gigs.

Re: Kelly Clarkson, she has had a huge year and would not be totally out of the question since she won some awards recently.

dorkfish

Rumor has it that Clapton and Cream will be there.

bmwmunk

when i saw that Clapton and Cream were touring I started freakin out since I grew up with my dad playing Cream of the Crop over and over.

kris247

It doesn't look like Clapton and Cream are touring. But, they are playing a three night reunion concert at Madison Square Garden on October 24, 25 and 26.

Featured Artists Include:
Crosby Stills, Nash & Young
Dave Matthews (Solo, Sunday only)
Norah Jones
Emmylou Harris
Jerry Lee Lewis
Good Charlotte
Bright Eyes
Los Lobos

musicluver

I was hoping for Pearl Jam. Maybe they will be added still... The line up is questionable!!!

kris247

In my experience, "Special Guests" almost always means "Eddie Vedder".

musicluver

Cant help but wonder who the "special guest" will be hmmm? Also can't believe this sold out as quick as it did with this years line up-

musicluver

John Mellencamp!!!

i will be up in about 7 hours and off to the Sun. bridge school. was there any special artists on Sat.? looking forward to tomorrow. i just spent the big halloween night with my friend's band Floyd's Ordeal and their big annual Halloween show. what a blast!i'm so high. not on drugs but on friendship, rock n roll and staying up late! i will bring a blanket to take a nap on for the Sun. Bridge.

hey there, Norah Jones had the best mix and sounded really good. Her soundperson was definitely with her at the Bridge. I'm not much for redundancy but her mix was the best out of all the bands. Plus, I'm a fan of her music. What did you all think of Jerry Lee Lewis? I thought he was great. ok - time to try to sleep.
