Breaking the Blade (Metal Music) CD Release & Performance Video Show
Friday, August 26 2011, 5:30pm - 11:00pm

Headlining this event is Breaking the Blade, with a current line-up that includes Cody Lamers on vocals, Bryce Crunkilton on lead guitar, Tyler Koltz on rhythm guitar, Shane Bellinger on bass and Allen Sklar on drums.

Opening acts include local bands Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, The End Result, Draw O’ Coward, Unprotected Sex and Lasting Impression.

Adding a bit of extra excitement to the evening, professionals will be recording a Performance Video of the band and its fans at this CD Release Show.



Countless aeons ago when Breaking the Blade started...In otherwords, 2008, Breaking the Blade's Lineup consisted of Steven on vocals, Bryce on lead guitar, Travis on rhythm guitar and Mike on bass.

In late 2008 Shane took the replacement of Mike on bass. Steven, soon enough was replaced by Travis on vocals. Due to Travis moving away, Breaking the Blade wanted a new vocalist and Cody joined the band replacing Travis in spring of 2009.

In the summer of 2009, Breaking the Blade had their first big gig in Milwaukee, WI at The Rave, sharing the main stage with Abigail Williams, Goatwhore, DAATH and a few more big bands.

Breaking the Blade has evolved their style over time from an alternative rock, screamo and metal fusion to a death metal, deathcore and experimental mix after Cody joined the band. Their first CD was released on October 30th, 2009 entitled Citizens of Despair - EP.

By late March, 2010, Breaking the Blade had written a lot of new material and chose to record their next album with Derek Moffat at In the Scene Studios.
