The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute is featuring an exhibit on MUGs (male unbifurcated garments), and the group "Million Skirted Men" is inviting all skirted men to converge on the Met this weekend. The exhibit closes February 8th.

From the MSM website: "We are inviting all skirted men to converge on the New York Metropolitan Museum the weekend of February 7th and 8th to show support for the exhibition, the clothes designers who are exhibiting there and to make a statement to the world that men want the option of a MUG (male Unbifurcated garment) in their wardrobe. Wear your kilts, skirts, sarongs, etc. to this event and let the world know that you are in support of this fashion for men."

From the Met website: "Bravehearts locates ?men in skirts? in historical and cross-cultural contexts and looks at designers as well as individuals who have appropriated the skirt as a means of injecting novelty into male fashion, transgressing moral and social codes, and redefining ideals of masculinity. The exhibition is sponsored by Jean Paul Gaultier."
