'BOWLING FOR BARACK:' A Campaign of Ordinary People October 3, 2008

This Presidential campaign features a competition of ordinary people - more than 2 million have contributed to Sen. Obama - against the political insiders and lobbyists of McCain's campaign (see http://mclobbyist.com/). We are following Sen. Obama's very-ordinary bowling example (37! over 7 frames) with our own symbolic Bowling for Barack; A Campaign of Ordinary People. The event will emphasize the spirit of volunteerism and citizen ownership that has fueled Sen. Obama's rise to the party's nominee. We will have field staff from the campaign and local celebrities discussing opportunities for all guests to take ownership of the campaign, knock on doors and register voters before the imminent October 6th deadline. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This event will also be our primary fundraiser for the local campaign. We ask for a $20 contribution for bowling, hors d'oeurves and each other's wonderful company. At your option, the $20 will support the local campaign offices in Philadelphia or PAforChange, the statewide campaign entity. People who feel particularly dedicated to the spirit of volunteerism and would like to support this event should e-mail Michael Fabius at [email protected]. We have an open host committee for those who can raise $100 by bringing five of their friends. All hosts will be thanked at the event.
