Borrego Days Desert Festival October 26, 2012

Borrego Springs, San Diego, CA – Grab the family and head on out to California’s Secret Desert™, Borrego Springs, for the 47th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival. Friends and family will gather for this three-day local tradition to enjoy the Heart of the Desert in our own backyard. This FREE festival takes place on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continues onto Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. On Saturday morning be sure to bring the family out early to enjoy a spectacular parade in the heart of the town at 10:00 AM to see the lively marching bands, floats, classic cars, decorated golf carts, equestrian groups and much more! Be on the look out for our Grand Marshal, Ricardo Breceda, the local artist and designer of the life-size metal animal sculptures located throughout Borrego. Afterwards take a stroll to pursue an array of artist, retail and food vendor booths, listen to the amazing live entertainment in the circle, or quench your thirst in the beer garden. This event features something for everyone including the little ones who are guaranteed to have a fun-filled time as they keep busy by enjoying the children’s area complete with a carnival featuring thrill-seeking rides, face painting, interactive games, and arts and crafts.
