Artist: Jason Reed This series explores vernacular life in the border regions of West Texas and New Mexico. Through depictions of people, buildings, landscapes and personal objects, the photographs function as memorials of the past while simultaneously lending a sense of stability to the future. Working together, these layers of nature and culture, myth and reality, and past and present begin to form an emblematic map that serves as a personal and collective guide to this region.
