BOOTIE LA One-Year Anniversary Party this Saturday, July 1st at The Echo!

This is it, the party we've been waiting a year to do ... it's time for the BOOTIE LA One-Year Anniversary Party! Can you believe it's been a year since we first brought Bootie to Los Angeles? Time flies when you're having fun!



This coming Saturday, we've got one jam-packed evening of mashed-up madness in store for you ... plus, FREE 20-track anniversary CDs for everyone! Well, at least the first 300 people. It's a "best of" CD, featuring Bootie LA's biggest hits, including mashups from every guest DJ and performer we've had, plus a few tracks which have inspired our flyers.

What we have in store for you...

First off -- from Toronto, Canada -- it's SMASH HITLEY, who creates epic audio/visual mixes played live on a keyboard. Each tune is contains 20 to 80 layers of sounds, samples, video images, effects, and loops across a 76-note keyboard. EVERYTHING is played live without sequencers or backing tracks, and his work offers an artistic take on the cult of celebrity. The show starts at 10 PM -- and it's only $8 before 10 PM, so get there early!

At 11 PM sharp, we are proud to present a live set from San Francisco's SMASH-UP DERBY, the world's only mashup rock band -- with a guest vocal appearance from superstar mashup DJ PARTY BEN. Fresh from recent shows in Seattle and Washington D.C., this will be their only Los Angeles appearance for a while.

Also, the fabulous Princess Kennedy will be performing a delicious mashup show later in the night. The operative word being "delicious!" The evening is also a CD release party for The Best Mashups In The World Ever Are From San Francisco 2, the sequel to last year's underground sensation, available at Amoeba Hollywood.

And of course, throughout the night, your resident Bootie DJs PAUL V http://www.thesmashmix.com (Indie 103.1), ADRIAN & THE MYSTERIOUS D (Bootie SF) and PARTY BEN will be spinning rump-shakin' mashups to make you sweat. Be sure to tune into Friday's Smash Mix at 5:30 PM on Indie 103.1 for a special Bootie LA One-Year Anniversary edition!
