San Francisco welcomes author Judith K. White on tour with her debut novel The Seventh Etching, an historic family drama based in 1640 Amsterdam, the wealthiest city on earth at the time. In the book, a beguiling orphan who unknowingly holds the clue to a missing etching, encounters Rembrandt and later appears in his most famous work.

The book reading, signing and celebration will be hosted by My Dutch Bike, a San Francisco retailer of quality handmade Dutch city bikes. Dutch snacks will be served.

With five siblings, three children and three grandchildren, Judith K. White is a family drama expert. Living in Amsterdam, she became fascinated with the city, especially with its Golden Age history, tumult and art. Judith is fluent in Spanish and French, and takes great pleasure in using her expanding knowledge of Dutch on return visits to The Netherlands. Linguist, educator, entrepreneur and fundraiser, Judith lives in Brookline Massachusetts with her husband, Allen L. White. Her eldest daughter, Kate White, is a resident of San Francisco.
