Bonde do Role is an alternative baile funk ensemble from Curitiba, Brazil. The band is characterized by the blatant sampling of popular American music and hooks from songs by Alice in Chains, The Darkness, and Prince, as well as music from the film 'Grease.' Drawing equally on punk and hip hop influences, DJs J2K and Autobot bring oft-divided crowds together with their signature mix of hip hop, electro, underground dance tracks and block party anthems.
