The BodyWorks program is a nationally implemented curriculum developed by The Office on Women's Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Currently, Oregon Health and Science University’s (OHSU) Center for Women's Health is now offering this informative and fun nutrition and healthy lifestyle class for girls and boys ages 9-13, and their caregivers, to anyone interested in improving the overall health of their family.

In this 8 week interactive workshop you and your child will be supplied with your own how-to-guide, which includes information on nutrition, physical activity and goal setting, a food and fitness journal, a flavorful and budget conscious recipe book, and other fun and engaging tools designed to improve or strengthen healthy lifestyle habits for you and your child. Throughout the BodyWorks session your child will be provided with the knowledge and encouragement they need to independently choose and prepare their own nutritious meals and snacks in your household, understand the current and long term benefits of daily physical exercise, and are given the opportunity to develop friendships with peers their age who also value healthy pro-active lifestyles.

Come and join this fun, weekly interactive class to strengthen your knowledge about nutrition and exercise! Please call 503 418-4506 for more information or if you have further questions about this program.
