Body and Soul: Parks and the Health of Great Cities June 20, 2008

The 2008 International Urban Parks Conference is the premier forum for professionals and parks advocates with a primary focus on urban and historic parks. The conference is presented by the City Parks Alliance and the National Association for Olmsted Parks in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.

Featuring keynote addresses by Teresa Heinz, Richard Louv, and Luis Garden Acosta; program sessions with leaders at the vanguard of the urban parks movement; and tours of some of the region’s most important and innovative green spaces, “Body and Soul” will inspire new ways of thinking about the relationship between people, their cities, and their parks.
