present a preview of DIALED IN – a DVD collaboration
DIALED IN is the meeting of two mad scientists, composer Bobby Previte and video artist Benton-C Bainbridge. From the upcoming DVD “Dialed In” by Bobby Previte and Benton-C Bainbridge, a trigger-happy dialog between movies and music. Each using forgotten technology scavenged from the tech dump, VJ veteran Benton-C responds by painting with light, twisting his own voluminous archives with mangled pixilation processed on the fly.

VJ BENTON-C BAINBRIDGE is an early innovator of the visual performance movement, making painterly ‘visual music’ in realtime for nearly 25 years. Using custom digital, analog and optical systems, Benton-C has performed, screened, streamed, broadcast and installed video over the wires and airwaves in museums, stadiums, squats and dance halls all over the world. He is currently an Education Fellow at Eyebeam Atelier, NYC, designing curricula to teach the art of the VJ.
